Hey there, friends. Some of you know we are creeping out of the studio and starting to head out on the road again. We have dates in the south, southwest and close to home coming up. This one in Detroit is going to be a blow out! $30 VIP seats are almost sold out already, so if you plan to go and want that ticket, there are less than 10 available.

A evening of Detroit born music featuring songs and performances by Tino Gross, Jimmie Bones, John Bardy and Jennifer Westwood backed by exceptional home grown talent.


You can expect to hear lots of what we've been up to in the studio toiling over the last few months. And of course we have a backing band full of friends that happen to also have played to millions via Amphitheaters, festivals, T.V. and corner bars. We hope to make this a 2-4 time a year series showcasing the writing and musical talent of friends in our region you may or may not know about.

Jennifer Westwood and Dylan Dunbar are soulful americana artists that hail from Detroit but call the road home. While Jennifer cut her teeth singing gospel, Dylan honed his guitar chops as a kid at local blues joints. Together they blend their roots, powerful vocals and guitar licks that are evocative of Muscle Shoals for their own sound."It's atmospheric yet immediate and approachable. It packs a wallop". - Rochester NY City Newspaper. More recently, Jennifer has performed in Don Was' all-star band and Dylan has served as lead ax man for grammy winning songwriter Kendell Marvel, providing direct support for acts such as Chris Stapleton. They've toured extensively as a duo and full band, sharing bills with and backing diverse acts such as Patti Smith, Delbert McClinton, Shooter Jennings, The Mavericks, Savoy Brown, Paul Thorn, Hayes Carll, Katey Sagal, Dale Watson, Paul Cauthen, Jason Eady and many others. They've been recording at home in the Motor City recently, with new songs to debut 1/27.


Jimmie Bones, Detroit based keyboardist and songwriter most recently has lended his talent to "Rockspell", produced by renown producer Jack Douglas and featuring the Detroit Youth Choir which is currently up for consideration for 6 Grammy Nominations. He released his debut solo record 'Snakebit and Wandering' in 2017, a mix of Bones' blues, soul, roots rock and roll influences poured into his gritty singing, playing, and songwriting. His career has found him onstage and in the studio with not only Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker but also Robert Bradley, Bob Seger, Peter Wolf, Sheryl Crow, Billy Gibbons, R. L. Burnside, Hank Williams Jr., Beth Hart, Mark Farner, Brad Whitford, Derek St. Holmes, Dick Wagner, and many others.

Tino Gross, owner of Funky D Records was raised in Detroit, has performed and recorded with John Lee Hooker, George Clinton, Don Was, Wayne Kramer, John Sinclair, Howling Diablos, Kid Rock, Bo Diddley, Big Walter Horton, Otis Rush, John Nicholas, Robert Bradley, Doctor Ross, and others. He's fronted a number of his own creative projects, most recently, "Tino G's Dumpster Machine". Among other acclaimed accomplishments, he produced R.L. Burnside's final album, "A Troubled Mind" and continues to record and producer others.


John Bardy has dusted off his boots at many musical doors. From years of writing and fronting on vocals and guitar in his hometown scene of Detroit, to playing his original tunes on the Los Angeles scene, Including a residency with a backup band of some of the best blues and soul sidemen around, put together with his friend, legendary drummer James Gadson..and years of live dates and recording as a trio backed by Lucinda Williams' Rhythm section (Butch Norton, David Sutton. John is currently based in Texas where he has a residency at the famous country music mecca, Luckenbach Texas and is finishing up a record that has his pals from Lucinda's band adding their expertise.

Our Rhythm section includes Chuck Bartels on Bass and Dave Below on drums, sought after instrumentalists who have cumulatively played for millions at amphitheater's, arenas and corner bars.
