What's Patreon, you ask?

Its a website that allows supporters to pay creators for the art, music, literature and content they create.

This is super helpful in the digital age. Streaming pays a fraction of what a CD would traditionally sell for, and in spite of what some streaming company executives think, it costs money to create music and content with real musicians and tradepeople, while most social media content is for marketing and not the best for monetizing things we prefer to share to the world.

In the past we used Patreon funds to cover travel expenses for our band mates - flying them in and out of a city for a week or so as Dylan and I drove and toured to the location.

This last year as our Patreon subscribers have understandably dwindled, we've used it to offset the cost of sending emails and other details. Yes, even the cost of sending email blasts have gone up - its over $30 every month I want to reach out to our email subscribers when it used to be included in our hosting package.
