Spring is fickle around these parts. It may have officially begun well over a month ago, but its not officially here until the Honky Tonk Throwdown, which is happening at PJ's Lagerhouse beginning tomorrow!
The Throwdown is a terrific 3 day event to kick off the season with fun, down to earth folks that have a penchant for good times, a little whiskey, and great music that doesn't pander to the cookie cutter side of the music industry.
This line-up this year promises to deliver, with 16 bands including the mid-west's favorite outlaw, Dallas Moore and his band from Cincinnatti, The Barnyard Stompers from San Antonio, Matt Woods from Knoxville, Razorhouse from Chicago, and many others including Detroit faves the Orbitsuns featuring Vinnie Dombroski of Sponge.
As hosts of the show with our bassist JD Mack at the helm, we will be there all weekend and perform Saturday evening. Friday night we will be a part of the Tom Waits review that features 4 award-winning vocalists; Including Chef Chris and Jarrod Champion. The set will slowly tease you into a frenzy.
